Task 4 -Private Utilit~Caordination As requested by City staff, we have coordinated the proposed Old Highway 8 reconstruction with private utilities to address the following: • Overhead utility burial issues, including easement and box locations, locations of conduit crossings of Old Highway 8, construction phasing, and temporary service. We prepared an exhibit to assist in easement coordination. • Service to development west of Old Highway 8. + Avoidance of existing underground Qwest duct bank. We have attended a field meeting to verify duct depth at potential conflict locations. • Relocation of existing 8" Xcel Energy gas main. Task 5 -Meetings At the request of City staff, we have attended the following additional meetings not included in . the original scope of work: I . Meeting with Ramsey County (1) 2. Meeting with Rice Creek Watershed District (1) 3. Meetings with private utilities (3) 4. Design review/progress meetings with City staff (3 additional, including one final design meeting to be scheduled) See Task 9 for additional meetings during construction. Task 6 -- Complete Storm Sewer Redesign Our original scope of work assumed that design of new storm system would not be required. Upon preliminary investigations into the capacity of the three separate existing storm sewer systems, it was determined that a complete redesign of the existing system would be required to accommodate the drainage needs of Old Highway 8. We have designed new storm sewer for Old Highway 8 within the project limits to meet a 10-year design event. Task 7 -Northwest Parkway We have incorporated the design of Northwest Parkway 350 feet +/- east of Old Highway 8 into the construction plans. As a part of this task, we addressed the horizontal alignment, profile grade, storm sewer design, and interim construction issues associated with the design of this roadway.
