<br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 8, 1985 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Benke asked if a reserve level policy had been requested of staff by council; <br />Egan responded that the Financial Policy Advisory Board has it as one of <br />their projects. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Egan had nothing further to the staff report concerning an agreement for <br />the 1985 audit services. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Benke, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT A <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE 1985 AUDIT SERVICES. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Egan had no additional comments to the staff report concerning a resolu- <br />tion authorizing agreement for computer maintenance. <br /> <br />In response to Schmidt's question, Egan listed the services that would <br />be included in the agreement. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR ESSENTIAL COMPUTER MAINTENANCE <br />WITH MASYS CORPORATION FOR $539.00 PER MONTH. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Harcus, to DESIGNATE HENRY SINDA THE VOTING <br />DELEGATE AND BOB BENKE THE ALTERNATE DELEGATE TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF <br />CITIES' ANNUAL CONGRESS OF CITIES IN DECEMBER 1985. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Concerning the nomination to the Community Development Block Grant's <br />Advisory Board, motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke, to RECOMMEND ROGER <br />BLOMQUIST AS THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON'S NOMINEE FOR A POSITION ON THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT'S ADVISORY BOARD, SUBJECT TO BLOMQUIST'S <br />APPROVAL. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Benke reported the AMM's Task Force has gone on record as recommending <br />the Metropolitan Council proceed with its review of the mega-mall pro- <br />posal and to maintain that review in an unfair and impartial manner; the <br />letter to Sandra Gardebring was copied to the Governor and the legisla- <br />ors. Benke noted that Bloomington and the Port Authority have approved <br />the agreement with contingenies.
