<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 10, 1985 <br /> <br />Page Twe 1 ve <br /> <br />Harcus asked that the Development of a Cash Management Policy <br />be moved from the Consent Agenda because his outline to staff <br />regarded an Investment Policy, not a Cash Management Policy. <br />Harcus stated that a Cash Management Policy may be a part of <br />an Investment Policy, but that Invesment Policies are more <br />extensive, speaking about strategies for investments. <br /> <br />Egan stated she fully supports an investment strategy and felt <br />an Investment Policy falls within the umhrella of what is <br />being done with cash assets. <br /> <br />Cash Management <br />Policy <br />Report 85-258 <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to REFER TO THE <br />FINANCIAL POLICY ADVISORY BOARD THE OUTLINE MAYOR HARCUS USED <br />AS A DISCUSSION. <br /> <br />Harcus stated that his outline probably includes too much but <br />that it would be a starting point. <br /> <br />Egan felt she had incorporated the major points in her report <br />to council. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Announcements <br /> <br />Announcements <br /> <br />Janecek asked if the broadcasting of any city events could be <br />published in the newspaper; it was resolved that notice of the <br />council meetings would carry Channel 10 dates and times of <br />broadcasting. <br /> <br />Benke announced a Regional Meeting in Rush City for the League <br />of Minnesota Cities is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11th; <br />will be leaving from New Brighton City Hall at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:53 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />3q~ <br /> <br />Margaret. .
