I

I

I

Council Meeting Minutes
April 22, 1986

Benke announced the City's centennial celebration may be held
in 1987, the year the City was originally platted, rather than
its incorporation date of 1981. Although further research is
being completed, if the New Brighton Historial Society selects
1987 as the year of celebration, the City will have to begin
formulating plans in the near future. Benke noted Council-
member Gunderman has experience and has expressed a willingness
to participate, if not lead, that kind of event. Benke hopes
to come back to council some time in May with some thoughts as
to what we might need to do to celebrate the Centennial Celebra-
tion.

Benke called councilmember's attention to the summary of the
water contamination negotiating team's meeting in Washington;
which states the Army does not admit they are totally liable for
the contamination.

Schmidt felt the trip was worthwhile and productive and it
created a process which, given time, will lead to a solution.

Benke announced the AMM Annual Meeting on May 21st, with the
RCLLG meeting on the same date.

Adjournment
Motion by Williams, seconded by Schmidt, to ADJOURN THE MEETING.

4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried

The meeting was adjourned at 10:32 p.m.

~

ATtEST:

Clerk

(SEAL)

Page Fourteen

Centennial
Celebration

Water Contamination
Meeting April 21st
Washington D.C.

~1ay 21, 1986
AMM Annual Mtg.
RCLLG Meeting

Adjournment
