<br />Counei 1 ~1i nutes <br />June 11, 1985 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Public Hearing, Care Air Conditioning, continued <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUBDIVISION OF CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ( GENERALLY THE <br />SOUTHWEST CORNER OF OLD HIGHWAY 8 AND FIRST STREET NW). <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Hearing <br /> <br />Krueger indicated that since the staff report was written <br />New Brighton Rent-All had complied with the conditions that <br />were placed on the license renewal and had complied with <br />the business license requirement for a rental equipment <br />business; she, therefore, recommended that council take no <br />action to revocate the Equipment Rental License for New <br />Brighton Rent-All. <br /> <br />Harcus told the operator, Daryl Schmalzbauer, that the City <br />Council appreciated his efforts in bringing his property <br />into compliance. <br /> <br />Schmidt commented that a number of business people had <br />expressed their pleasure of the efforts that Schmalzbauer <br />had made to make the council-required changes, and commended <br />the council for taking the action, <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Sinda asked the council to receive a petition from residents <br />of 25th Street NW and 14th Avenue NW concerning the parking <br />and traffic prOblem in their neighborhood, and to ask staff <br />for a recommendation by the July 23, 1985, council meeting. <br /> <br />Candy Rudolph, 1424 - 25th Street NW, asked to have staff's <br />recommendation earlier than July 23rd in order to eliminate the <br />problem this summer. <br /> <br />Harcus asked if it would take a full month-and-a-half to bring <br />a recommendation; Sinda responded staff would try to have a <br />recommendation earlier, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Schmidt asked that, if the recommendation comes earlier than <br />July 23, 1985, staff notify those in the nei ghborhood when it <br />would be on the agenda; Sinda stated staff would notify the <br />residents, <br /> <br />Harcus noted that Item #3 on the petition appears to be the <br />preferred method of resolution (Install "Resident Parking Only" <br />signs on both streets); residents present concurred, <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Heari ng <br /> <br />Revocation - New <br />Brighton Rent- <br />All '. <br />Report 85-163 <br />7:40pm-7:41pm <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Petiti on: 25th <br />St. NW and 14th <br />Ave, NW <br />Report 85-164 <br />
