Program <br />Report 85-200 <br />Resolution 85-69 <br /> <br />Beer License <br />Report 85-201 <br /> <br />Food License - <br />Transfer <br />Report 85-202 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist, to WAIVE THE RULES AND ~{10VE Waive Rules <br />ITEM VIII-4 (Consideration of a request from Pike Lake School for <br />cooperative playground equipment) TO CURRENT CONSIDERATION. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Sinda had nothing to add to the staff report concerning a request <br />for an allocation of $9,000 for cooperative playground equipment. <br /> <br />Kai Sakstrup, Vice President of Pike Lake School, stated that over <br />the past three years Pike Lake School had earned over $4,000 in <br />fund-raisers and the country carnival. The students decided to try <br />and put playground equipment in Freedom Park in the Pike Lake area. <br />After contacting the PTA and the District Office, the students <br />received $3,000 and $2,000 (labor). respectively. Sakstrup asked <br />the Council to match the monies for the equipment. <br /> <br />Harcus stated that the Community Fund was established to match <br />dollar-for-dollar projects like this but the requests for the funds <br />in the past did not have the commitment of this project.
