<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council <br />was held Tuesday, December 11, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 Fifth Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gregory Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, <br />Jeanette Janecek, and Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Brenda Krueger, City Planner <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />Gary Berger, Administrative Assistant <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Harcus, to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER <br />27, 1984, REGULAR MEETING. Harcus asked that the voting on the Joint Powers <br />Agreement with Ramsey County - Long Lake/Rush Lake Regional Park be amended <br />to reflect his "Nayell vote. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />The Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />Planning Commission Minutes of November 20, 1984, and the Human Rights <br />Commission Minutes of November 5, 1984. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Janecek attended the VFW ceremony on November 16, 1984, for the rededication <br />of the War Memorial and received, and tonight presented to council, a Certi- <br />ficate of Appreciation to the City of New Brighton from the Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars. <br /> <br />ReverendPaul Olson of Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton pre- <br />sented a donation to the City of New Brighton. Janecek thanked Christ the <br />King Lutheran Church for having space available for the senior citizen <br />groups; Olson commented the seniors were a pleasure to work with. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist, to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />l~ Consolidated vouchers - 068852-068891 and <br />067706-067786. <br /> <br />Vouchers <br /> <br />2.
