<br />~ <br />;; <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />March 26, 1985 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Harcus further stated that. even though Old Highway Eight <br />was widened in the hopes of rerouting some of the traffic. <br />Silver Lake Road is still heavily used. <br /> <br />Janecek asked how much the road is being widened in front <br />of the houses on Silver Lake Road. south of 694; Proper <br />indicated it would be a long taper and would not affect the <br />property owners much. mostly affects the ramps areas. <br /> <br />Bob Remington, 741 Silver Lake Road, stated his property <br />would be most affected; had been to the County Engineer1s <br />office and showed elevation maps to the council. Remington <br />is concerned about the grade onto his property. no left <br />turn into his property from southbound Silver Lake Road, <br />and reassessment of curb and storm sewer. <br /> <br />Harcus indicated that an assessor will be evaluating the <br />benefit to his property. <br /> <br />Remington would like to have the amount. even though very <br />small, for the storm sewer deducted from his assessment. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Proper indicated the county would rebuild Remington1s drive- <br />way; they will look at getting an easement from the school <br />to aid in a more efficient driveway for the Remington property. <br /> <br />Janecek asked if anyone had been assessed for the curbs and <br />sidewalks; Cross indicated no assessments were made for the <br />curbs and sidewalks. but that he and Remington were assessed <br />for the storm sewer. <br /> <br />Larry Wilke. 784 Silver Lake Road. asked if there will be <br />left turn lanes onto Eighth Street; generally agreerl with <br />Mr. Remington that they already have curbs and sidewalks. <br /> <br />As there were no other comments. Harcus moved. seconded by <br />Schmidt. to CLOSE THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING. <br /> <br />3 Ayes 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />NOTE: As Benke and Blomquist were not present. action on <br />the hearing will take place at the end of the agenda; <br />Harcus made such an announcement to those present. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Winkels announced that this was a continuation of a public <br />hearing; reviewed staff report for the entire Water Ridge <br />Project. <br /> <br />Winkels noted that the approval of the Tax Increment Plan <br />and the modification of the development district must be <br />tied to the development agreement, which provides the city <br />with the surety to order any kind of redevelopment project <br />to enable us to acquire properties and relocate people. <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />7:57pm-8:25pm <br />Water Ridge Project <br />Tax Increment <br />District #6 <br />Report 85-78 <br />
