Consideration of Resolution Authorizing City <br />Attorney to Present Notice of Claims <br /> <br />Schmidt directed Winkels to commend Anderson on the <br />way Item V-3 was handled and to let both employees <br />know that the Council appreciates the way it was <br />worked out. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />Councilman Benke arrived. <br /> <br />With regard to the Rehabilitation of Streets in the <br />Pike Lake Area (Project 84-1), Proper reviewed the <br />staff report and showed slides of the streets in- <br />volved in the project. <br /> <br />Councilman Blomquist arrived. <br /> <br />Proper indicated that the rehabilitation is needed <br />for rideability/appearance, maintenance costs are <br />increasing, and for economical reasons (the streets <br />are now rehabilitatable vs. reconstruction in the <br />future) . <br /> <br />Proper emphasized that all underground utilities will <br />be, if not already, checked before laying the new <br />road. He indicated there will be noise, dust, etc. <br />but residents will be informed of schedule.
