<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />Apri 110, 1984 <br /> <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Sjodin indicated it was his understanding that the <br />ordinance was changed because of a safety factor, and <br />stated that this plat does not affect the safety and <br />visibility in any way. <br /> <br />Blomquist stated that because there are only four <br />other lots in the City of New Brighton with three sides <br />on a street, this could be classified as a hardship. <br /> <br />Schmidt asked LeFevere about procedure for granting a <br />variance, if so deemed by counci 1. <br /> <br />LeFevere:i>ndicated the variance should be in the form <br />of a resolution rather than just in the minutes. <br /> <br />Schmidt asked Sjodin about the timetable. <br /> <br />Sjodin indicated they were pretty much set to go and <br />any delay would cause difficulty. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke, TO WAIVE THE <br />READING AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION MAKING THE FINDINGS <br />OF FACT STATED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION WITH THE <br />CONCLUSION THAT THE APPLICATION FOR VN-231 IS APPROVED. <br /> <br />Janecek asked for clarification of the setback and the <br />neighbor's backyard, asking why the house couldn't be <br />slightly moved back. Krueger indicated that there <br />would then only be ten feet between the existing house <br />and the proposed house. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes,Motion Carried <br /> <br />Krueger had nothing further to add to the staff report. Zoning Map <br />Report 84-90 <br /> <br />Schmidt asked what the map would be used for. <br /> <br />Winkels stated that this would be the Official Zoning <br />Map of the City, additional copies would be printed in- <br />house and available at City Hall for anyone wishing a <br />copy. Ninkels further indicated that all recent <br />changes would be on map (rezoning, street name changes). <br /> <br />Krueger stated that all areas would be assumed to be <br />Rl unless outlined and designated on the black and <br />white Ep to indicate different zoning. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist, to ADOPT A <br />NEW OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />WHICH SHALL BE ADOPTED AND IDENTIFIED BY THE SIGNATURES <br />OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER. <br />
