If
there were s till problems with the amendment,
Krueger recommended the amendment be tabled
thereby giving staff an opportunity to go back to
the Planning Commission in a few months with a
fresh approach.

Harcus stated he thought the basic changes are
better than before, with an improvement in enforce-
ability.

Schmidt indicated it shouldn1t be tabled, but
rather have some action taken on it.

Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Harcus, to WAIVE THE
READING, HOLD THE SECOND READING, ADOPT AND ORDER
PUBLICATION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-350
AND SECTION 4-550 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING CODE
PERTAINING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS WITH THE FOLLOWING
CHANGES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION:

1. That Section, e. state Not-more than four
additional traffic trips per day shall be
generated by a home occupation. Any need
for ...

Schmidt stated that the amendment allows the occupa-
tion ordinance to go beyond the family unit, and
doesn't see a number of trips as being enforceable
by either the police or staff.

Janecek feels that the one outside person and the
four traffic trips makes the ordinance enforceable.

Page Five

Home Occupation Ordinance,
Amendment
Report 84-92
Ordinance 522
