Consideration of Stockyard Day's float dona- <br />tion request <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br /> <br />Krueger reviewed staff report indicating that both <br />Bell Pole and Becchetti have agreed on vacation of <br />Eighth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Benke inquired about possible landscaping along Old <br />Highway 8 on the north end of the building. <br /> <br />Becchetti indicated he would landscape to avoid the <br />80 feet of concrete wa 11' s unsightl iness. <br /> <br />As there were no further cDmments, motion by Harcus, <br />seconded by Schmidt, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />S Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt, tD WAIVE THE <br />READING AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION ~AKING FINDINGS OF <br />FACT AND APPROVING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF <br />EIGHTH AVENUE NW and RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF LP-157 AS <br />SUBMITTED AND SIGNED BY THE APPLICANT AND THE CITY <br />PLANNER. <br /> <br />S Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Winkels reviewed staff report indicating that the <br />reasons for the amendment are to aid in the develop- <br />ment of the four properties and to prOVide new funds <br />to the program.
