Benke asked about enforcement
and maintenance of landscaping to insure follow-up.

Krueger indicated she would insure the landscaping
would be completed as drawn out, and staff and residents
will be keeping a close eye on it in the future.

Pat Rother, 490 Ninth Avenue NW, stated that a berm
would satisfy some of the requirements.

Norm Wells, architect, indicated that the berm would
be about si xty feet from the center of 9th Avenue N~I.

Rother inquired about plans for lighting the rear of
the property. Wells indicated no additional lights
would be added and, further, the light on the corner
is not used.

Rother inquired if the parking could be east/west
rather than north/south.

~Mells indicated north/south was the most effective
for circulation of flow of traffic and for security
purposes.

Benke asked if any consideration had been given to
extend landscaping to the south side.

Jim Rutledge, owner of J & B Auto Service, agrees
it is vacant looking and had planned some additional
landscaping on the west side of the building.

Page Nine

Non-Conforming Use Permit
J & B Auto Service
Report 84-102
Resolution 84-53
