<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />May 8, 1984 <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Schmidt asked that VI-3 (Report 84-115) concerning the <br />picnic shelters be moved to VII-8. Motion by Schmidt, <br />seconded by Benke, to approve the Consent Agenda items <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated Fund Vouchers (071619-071676 and <br />065889-066001) <br /> <br />2. Receipt of update on selection of consultant <br />for computer system <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Winkels reviewed staff report concerning a request for <br />the purchase of vacated right-of-way on 14th Avenue N.W. <br />indicating that the Park Board recommended against <br />selling park property. <br /> <br />Janecek indicated that the Park Board was also concerned <br />as to what might be done with the property, if it were <br />sold. <br /> <br />Benke stated we should retain that part of the property <br />to protect the wooded area. <br /> <br />Anderson indicated the Park Board recommended Hedlund <br />be given an easement thereby leaving his driveway in its <br />present location. <br /> <br />Benke asked city attorney if a time limit could be <br />established if the Council granted an easement. <br /> <br />LeFevere responded affirmatively. <br /> <br />Janecek pointed out that the staff report indicates <br />Hedlund does not want an easement and Winkels responded <br />he wasn't sure what Hedlund's position would be if we <br />don't sell. Benke stated that if we don't sell, he is <br />on our property and staff should advise him to do <br />something. <br /> <br />Harcus asked if we were to sell, could we put restrictions <br />in the agreement that the woods must be preserved.
