<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />June 26. 1984 <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt. seconded by Blomquist. to DIRECT STAFF <br />TO ADVERTISE THAT APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE CITY'S <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION WILL BE RECEIVED THROUGH <br />JULY 18. 1984 AND CONSIDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON JULY 24. <br />1984 and TO ESTABLISH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION <br />AT TWELVE MEMBERS PLUS THE CHAIRPERSON. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br /> <br />Winkels distributed information on the Donatelle purchase. <br />though not on the agenda. The Snyder agreement has a <br />clause stating a condition that the City complete a Devel- <br />opment Agreement with the developer. We need that same <br />type of condition on one of Mr. Kallestad's Agreements. <br />and that is not a problem with Mr. Kallestad. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist. seconded by Janecek. to AUTHORIZE THE <br />MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT <br />WITH MARION C. AND MARJORIE SNYDER FOR THE LAND AND <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT 315 FIFTH AVENUE N.W. and to AUTHORIZE THE <br />MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTIVE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT <br />WITH ROBERT F. KALLESTAD FOR PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF FIFTH <br />AVENUE NW AND NORTH OF THE EXTENDED PORTION OF 3RD ST. NW. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br /> <br />Blomquist had asked that this item be moved to Council <br />Business as the recommended action states a date must be <br />set for a work session to discuss the paper. <br /> <br />Schmidt indicated it could probably be discussed during <br />a regular council meeting. <br /> <br />Harcus agreed it could be placed toward the end of the <br />next council agenda and so moved. seconded by Janecek. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br /> <br />Egan advised council there would be a bond closing on <br />July 9. 1984 and needed a special council meeting on <br />that date. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Blomquist announced that the next Ramsey County League <br />of Local Governments will next be meeting at Island <br />Lake Park for a picnic/meeting on July 18th. The topic <br />wi 11 be "Water Qual ity of Ramsey County Lakes. II At the <br />June meeting. the tornado was discussed and the meeting <br />was well presented.
