<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br />August 14, 1984 <br /> <br />Page Four <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND HOLD THE FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NEW <br />BRIGHTON ZONING ORDINANCE BY REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON FROM R-l (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br />TO B-3 (GENERAL BUSINESS) (GENERALLY THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF <br />PALMER DRIVE AND ROBIN LANE) SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDI- <br />TIONS: <br /> <br />1. THAT THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS THAT PORTION OF TRACT A <br />OF REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NUMBER 237 WHICH LIES WITHIN <br />THE SW~ OF THE SE~ OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 30, BE <br />LEGALLY COMBINED WITH THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS TRACT B <br />OF REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NUMBER 237. <br />2. THAT THERE BE NO CURB CUTS FROM SAID PORTION OF TRACT A <br />OF REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NUMBER 237. <br />3. THAT THE SITE AND LANDSCAPE PLANS CONFORM TO THE PLANS <br />AS SUBMITTED AND SIGNED BY THE CITY PLANNER AND THE <br />APPLICANT. <br />4. THAT A COpy OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY COUNCIL ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING REZONING R-127 BE FORWARDED TO THE METROPOLI- <br />TAN COUNCIL FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried <br />\ <br /> <br />Proper had nothing to add to the report. <br /> <br />David Hoel, 2738 NW 17A Street, presented the proposal indi- <br />cating it was preliminary and that changes would be made and <br />that the petitioners needed some direction as to financing <br />the project, and what action was necessary to accomplish it. <br /> <br />Lake Diane - <br />Improvement <br />Report 84-211 <br />Resolution 84-109 <br />Public Hearing <br />Set for <br />September 12, <br />1984 <br /> <br />City Attorney advised Hoel that the only thing that couldn't <br />be done would be to levy equal assessment amounts on an <br />ad valorem basis. <br /> <br />Benke indicated Hoel should work with Proper on the project, <br />and that Proper would, in turn, work with the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Both Blomquist and Harcus expressed appreciation of the <br />initiative regarding this project. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Schmidt, to ADOPT A RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING THE PETITION AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A <br />PROPOSED LAKE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ON LAKE DIANE AND TO AMEND <br />THE RESOLUTION (PARAGRAPH ONE) BY INSERTING "OR ORDER OTHER <br />FINANCING OPTIONS" AFTER "AMENDED)." <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Winkels stated that Mark Haggerty, representative of Print <br />Craft, was present to answer questions.
