<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />'. . <br /> <br />City Council <br />November 22, 1983 <br />Page #7 <br /> <br />Councilmember Blomquist noted that if we kept the present policy it <br />should be more consistently enforced~ <br /> <br />Chief Kelley noted that one of the problems is that some residents get <br />permission to park overnight when they have guests in town or over the <br />weekend, for up to one week in time. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke to direct staff to study and report <br />on the pros and cons of having overnight on-street parking, time spent <br />on current enforcement. court resolutions and enforcement productivity, and <br />effectiveness, and to report back to the Council. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />The Mayor called for a recess at 8:52 P.M. <br /> <br />Meeting was called back to order at 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The City Manager reviewed the space problems and staff report regarding <br />improvements for City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Blomquist noted that in the past there has been SOIi1E <br />consideration of a joint public/safety facility combining police and <br />fire. Council member Blomquist noted that in earl ier studies that <br />the concept had been rejected but that given that the Fire Station <br />has now passed and that project will move forward that it might be <br />appropriate to at least review earlier decisions to reaffirm that <br />prior decision. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to direct the Citizens Study <br />Committee to review the need for City staff space as compared to <br />existing space and to recommend any changes that they feel would be <br />appropriate and bring such information to the Council for <br />consideration <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to amend the main motion by <br />directing staff to review previous space study needs for a combined <br />police and fire facility. <br />Vote on Motion to Amend <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Vote on Main Motion As Amended <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Jcnecek to waive the reading and adopt <br />and order publication of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-159 ANO 13-160 <br />OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO REGISTRATION FEES FOR MULTIPLE FAMILY <br />m~ELLINGS. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />City Ha 11 Improve- <br />ments <br />Report #83-300 <br /> <br />Multi-Family <br />Housing Fees <br />Ordinance #514 <br />
