<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof. a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council <br />was held Tuesday, December 27, 1983. at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve <br />Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: Mayor Gregory Harcus (out of town) <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Leslie Proper, City Engineer <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Brenda Krueger, City Planner <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />The Acting Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />Human Rights Commission Minutes of November 7, 1983 and the Park Board Minutes <br />of December 7, 1983. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt requested that Item C. regarding the Final Payment on <br />Contract for Concrete Street Repair be removed from the consent agenda and <br />placed at the end of the regular agenda. <br /> <br />Motion ~ Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to approve the Consent Agenda items as <br />follows: <br /> <br />A. Consolidated Fund Vouchers Nos. 071100-071141 and 064691-064767 <br />B. Liquor Fund Vouchers Nos. 016377-016401 and 015766-015796 <br /> <br />C. Consideration of a Bingo License Renewall -- St. John's Men's Club ~ <br />Report #83-323 <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br /> <br />Director of Community Development reviewed the staff report <br />regarding the Application for Industrial Revenue Bond <br />Financing. <br /> <br />Micom Corporation <br />Report #83-337 <br /> <br />Bob Willette, representing Micom Corporation, reviewed <br />the proposed project and the financing involved. Mr. <br />Willette noted that the financing includes a refunding <br />of a prior Industrial Revenue Bond as well as financinq <br />for the second story addition to the building. - <br />
