<br />.,:- ........ <br /> <br />; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />December 27, 1983 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to waive the reading <br />and adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON, RAMSEY <br />COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $2,500,000 <br />AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON, MINNESOTA, <br />COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS (NEW BRIGHTON BUS:NESS <br />CENTER PROJECT), DATED AS OF DECEMBER 1, 1983, AND APPWV- <br />ING THE FORM AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF NECESSARY <br />DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />City Manager reviewed the staff report regarding the City <br />Hall Improvements Project. Bruce Marx, chairman of the <br />Citizen Study Committee indicated that a tour of the city <br />hall had emphasized the need that space considerations be <br />taken care of. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to direct staff <br />to develop alternatives for City Hall Improvements, working <br />wi th the C; ti zen StudyCommi ttee and report back to Counci 1 . <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Chief of Police reviewed the staff report regarding the <br />Civil Defense Mutual Aid Agreement. <br /> <br />Following a brief discussion of what other cities are <br />doing and learning that the Governor could send one City <br />to help another in an emergency thereby overruling other <br />Agreements, there was a <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to authorize the <br />Mayor and City Manager to execute a Civil Defense Agree- <br />ment with other Ramsey County municipalities. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />City Engineer reviewed the staff report regarding a Water <br />Feasibility Study for Centex. <br /> <br />Schmidt stated that who would pay for this study is still <br />in question. <br /> <br />City Engineer stated the City can use a feasibility study <br />regardless of the project. <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Resolution #83-141 <br /> <br />City Hall Improve- <br />ments <br />Report #83-325 <br /> <br />Civil Defense Mutual <br />Aid Agreement with <br />Ramsey County <br />Suburban Cities <br />Report #83-326 <br /> <br />Water Feasibility <br />Study, County Road <br />liE" and Silver Lake <br />Road (Centex) <br />Report #83-339 <br />
