J. Bumby of MacGillis & Gibbs indicated that the <br />business is still within the protection of the Chapter 11 <br />bankruptcy laws, but that the company has made great <br />strides towards solvency within the last year. Mr. Bumby <br />stated that the pole business will be virtually eliminated <br />over the next few years. <br /> <br />There were no other comments to the issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to waive the reading <br />and adopt a RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROV- <br />ING NON-CONFIRMING USE PERMIT NC-59. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to approve LP-153, <br />subject to the conformance with the building plans as sub- <br />mitted and signed by the applicant and City Planner. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />City Planner reviewed the staff report regarding the <br />Variance for Signing (VN-228). <br /> <br />Mr. Huk Su Kim of the Korean United Methodist Church was <br />present to discuss the application for a variance to permit <br />the erection of a cross.
