<br />.' <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Munites <br />December 27,1983 <br /> <br />Page Eight <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to adopt a <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 1984 SCHEDULE OF PAY AND <br />COMPENSATION FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br />Resolution #83-150 <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />City Manager reviewed the staff report regarding a <br />Compensatory Time Policy. <br /> <br />Compensatory Time <br />Policy <br />Report #83-335 <br /> <br />Before a final pOlicy is written, the council indicated <br />they would like the staff to consider some items (survey <br />of other cities to see what they are doing, limit the time <br />period in which compensatory time must be used, have <br />employees use their compensatory time in slow periods, <br />take a look at time management -- are employees working <br />more than 40 hours to do a 40-hour job?, limit the amount <br />of compensatory time that can be used at one time, <br />Department Heads have flex time rather than compensatory <br />time unless compensatory time is absolutely necessary, <br />cap for how much compensatory time Can be accummulated, <br />are Department Heads required to attend meetings? and <br />incorporate a severence pay statement), <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist directing staff <br />to the consider the ideas and concerns of the Council as <br />stated previously and bring back a written compensatory <br />time policy for approval, <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />The November Statement for the Municipal Liquor Stores <br />was presented to Council for informational purposes only. <br />City Manager noted that the November statement indicates <br />the liquor operation is on the way up and that sales in <br />the fi rst two weeks of December were at an a 11 time hi gh. <br /> <br />November State for <br />Municipal Liquor <br />Stores <br />Report #83-336 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Department reviewed the staff <br />report regarding the final payment on the contract for <br />the concrete street repair. <br /> <br />Concrete Street <br />Repair <br />Project #83-3 <br /> <br />Les Proper stated that the scope of the project increased <br />due to hairline cracks, the residents were concerned <br />because of the noise and inconvenience, and that in the <br />future the contractors will not be allowed to cut out an <br />entire panel at one time because the surface patching <br />didn't go as fast as we thought it would and the areas <br />had to be filled with sand. <br />
