Municipal Caucus Membership Report #84-4 Mayor Harcus indicated that the City should take an active role in lObbying and this would be a good means to do it. Motion by Harcus, seconded by Schmidt to have the City of New Brighton formally become a member of The Municipal Caucus. Rice Creek Watershed District Surface Water Committees Report #84-5 Motion by Harcus, seconded by Schmidt to appoint Les Proper, City Engineer, to the Technical Advisory Committee and to ask Environmental Quality Corrunission for their recommenda- tion in appointing an elected official and a citizen to the Citizen's 509 Task Force. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried City Planner reviewed the staff report regarding an amend- ment to the zoning code concerning fencing. This amendment is an attempt to bring the city code into compliance with the Uniform Building Code. Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to waive the reading and hold the first reading of an ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-540 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING CODE PERTAINING TO FENCES.
