Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to waive the read- ing and hold the first reading of an ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-350 AND SECTION 5-660 OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING CODE pertaining to home occupants with the following change under Section II, Item (b) to read: Permitted home occupations shall not include the employment of more than one unrelated person; 4 Ayes - 1 Nay (Schmidt), Motion Carried City Attorney commented that a beauty shop has perform- ance standards and that it would be hard to show that it generates more traffic than a residental neighborhood normally has. The Planning Commission would have to state what is IInormalll and not avoid that issue. City Attorney further stated that Item (f) speaks to IInorma111 in neighborhoods and that perhaps the Planning Commission should consider elimating lIor puts stress on public utilities other than is normal.lI Benke suggested a modifier on Item (f). Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to direct staff to refer the amended ordinance to the City Attorney for recommendations. Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to support Council- member Benke to fill the vacancy on the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities' Board of Directors and directed staff to send a letter regarding same.
