<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />l' <br />B. <br />:~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />February 28, 1984 <br /> <br />Joyce Kloncz, President of New Brighton Stock Yard <br />Days gave a brief presentation for this year1s plans <br />for the celebration. <br /> <br />Harcus questioned the seriousness of a float. <br /> <br />Kloncz indicated the cost may be as high as $5,000 <br />and that they may need some financial assistance <br />from the city. She further i ndi cated that the float <br />would last a very long time. <br /> <br />Sinda reviewed the staff report regarding the clari- <br />fication of the Citizen Study Committees responsi- <br />bilities concerning the City Hall Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Schmidt mentioned that the scheduled looked well in <br />hand and that it looked good. <br /> <br />Benke suggested that when the committee gets to <br />funding, they meet with the Finance Policy Advisory <br />Board. <br /> <br />Blomquist emphasized that the Committee will be looking <br />at financial options and that they are very interested <br />in working on this project. <br /> <br />Council accepted the perceived responsibilities listed <br />as well as the schedule presented. <br /> <br />Sinda reviewed the staff report with no further <br />comments. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to AUTHORIZE <br />THE MAYOR AND MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES CONTRACT WITH LINDBERG PIERCE, INC.
