The City Engineer felt that <br />in view of this new information, no additional <br />flood protection is necessary and hewoald <br />recommend that the storm sewer portion of <br />this improvement be dropped from further <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Improvement <br />Project #83-1 <br />Report #83-71,74 <br />8:00 - 8:10 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Engineer presented three options <br />to the proposed reconstruction of 23rd Ave. <br />N.W. He further stated that maintenance <br />dollars are limited and if money was spent <br />to maintain, rather than reconstruct the <br />street, the City would get into a position <br />where there would be insufficient funds to <br />protect the City's good streets. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt asked what maintenance <br />it would take to maintain the street and what <br />that maintenance would include. <br /> <br />The city Engineer indicated the maintenance costs <br />would be difficult to determine until the frost <br />
