<br />City of New Brighton <br />March 22, 1983 <br /> <br />Page Seven <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development stated <br />that there is a difference in zoning; R-l <br />for the resident's property and R-2 for the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />Mr. Hyatt, applicant, addressed the concerns <br />of the resident, stating that they designed the <br />project to fit the "feel" of the surrounding <br />community. <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Flaherty, 2513 13A Street, questioned <br />what the selling price of the units would be. <br /> <br />Mr. Hyatt responded that the selling price <br />of the units would be in the $70,000 range. <br />He further stated that these units are condominiums, <br />and that the project would not decrease the value <br />of the homes in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Luderman, 2576 13A Street, stated that <br />they had sewer back-up problems and questioned <br />whether this project would add to that problem. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Engineer responded that the back-up <br />was not caused by overusage of pipes and that <br />they were built to stand up to this development. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to close <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br />83-22 PRD#36 <br />PL-l34 <br />Motion by Blomquist seconded by Janecek to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT <br />AND APPROVING PRELIMINARY PRD#36 AND PRELIMINARY PLAT, PL-134. <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke indicated concern <br />intersection off Innsbruck Drive, and <br />that the developer work with staff on <br />intersection as the City did not want <br />in a problem. <br /> <br />for the <br />asked <br />that <br />to build <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to direct <br />the Planning Commission to request that the Planning <br />Commission consider methods of notification for planning <br />related applications beyond the 200 foot radius limit <br />now used for public hearing notification. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br />
