<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, April 26, 1983, <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue <br />N.W. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Greg Harcus, Counci1members Bob Benke, <br />Steve Schmidt, Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Maurice Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Mark Koz1ak, Liquor Director <br />Leslie Proper, City Engineer <br />James Winkels, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to approve the minutes <br />of April 12, 1983, as amended. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of <br />the Human Rights Commission minutes of April 4, 1983, the <br />Environmental Quality Commission minutes of April 14, 1983, <br />and the Park Board minutes of April 6, 1983. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Mayor Harcus, on behalf of the City Council, acknowledged <br />and thanked United Theological Seminary for their generosity <br />in making a donation to the City. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt to approve the consent <br />agenda with the exception of #4 Arbor Day Proclamation, which <br />was tabled until the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />1. ,Consolidated Fund Vouchers Nos. 70571-70611 & 63159-63241 <br /> <br />2. Liquor Fund Vouchers Nos. 19675-19717 & 15185-15203 <br /> <br />3. Approval of bids for repainting of upper and lower bays <br />of the Fire Station. Report #83-101 <br /> <br />5. Approval of Resolution authorizing transfer for the Old <br />Hwy. 8 Storm Sewer Project. Report No. 83-103 <br /> <br />6. Approval of Resolution authorizing advertisement for bids <br />
