<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />May 10, 1983 <br /> <br />Counci1member Benke asked the City Engineer <br />what the reason was for not being able to <br />negotiate the easement. <br /> <br />The City Engineer responded that there had been <br />a breakdown in the negotiations and this would <br />provide leverage in this negotiation process. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development reviewed <br />the staff report regarding landscape design <br />services. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt to authorize <br />the Development District Administrator to execute <br />a consultant services contract with Damon Farber <br />Associates, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $900. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development reviewed <br />the staff report regarding an application for <br />a minor subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to waive <br />the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />SUBDIVISION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF NEW BRIGHTON (Generally East of Old Hwy. 8 and <br />South of 4th Street N.W. extended). <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The City Engineer reviewed the staff report <br />regarding plan approval for concrete street repair <br />for Project #83-8. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt to approve <br />the resolution approving plans and specifications <br />and authorizing the advertisement for bids for <br />Project #83-8, the repair of concrete streets in <br />the Poppyseed Drive/Rockstone Lane area and Stinson <br />Boulevard. Bids are to be opened on June 10, 1983, and <br />considered by Council on June 14, 1983. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Director of Liquor and Mr. Terry Johnson, <br />New Brighton Electric, reviewed the problems <br />with the existing electrical system, and the <br />proposed cost to bring the system up to code. <br />The Director of Liquor indicated that at present, <br />the system violated safety codes and presented <br />a f ire hazard.. <br /> <br />Page Five <br /> <br />Landscape Design <br />Services <br />Report #83-126 <br /> <br />Application for <br />Minor Subdivision <br />N.E.
