I I I COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, December 14, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, Minnesota Present: Mayor Gregg Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt (8:34) Absent: None Also Present: James Fornell, City Manager Charles LeFevere, City Attorney Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks & Recreation Les Proper, Director of Public Works Joan Archer, City Planner Russ Van Gompel, City Accountant James Winkels, Director of Community Development Minutes Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve the minutes of November 23, 1982 as presented. 4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried The ~1ayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of the EQC minutes of November 8, 1982; the Park Board minutes of December 1, 1982; and the Human Rights Commission minutes of December 6, 1982. Councilmember Schmidt arrived at 8:34 p.m. Special Order of Business On behalf of the City Council, the Mayor presented Certificates of Commendation to the following people in recognition of their efforts on the City's Industrial Task Force: Larry Baker, Dick Brenk, Tom Doten, Mike Fredericks, Vernon Quaid, Don Roux, Ed Walhoff, Dee Weaver, Joe Wolkerstorfer. Certificates of Commendation - Industrial Task Force Rev. ~uther Olson and Rev. Paul Olson, representing Christ the King Lutheran Church, presented the City Council with a donation in the amount of $100 as a small token of their appreciation for services rendered to the Church by the City. Donation - Christ the King Lutheran Church The ~~~yor, on hehalf of the City Council, accepted the donation and expressed the City's appreciation for the services that the Church has rendered to the City.
