<br />Section 4. New Brighton City Code Section 17.64 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 17 ~64. Assessment of costs incurred by city. <br /> <br />Costs incurred by the City in destroying noxious weeds shall be charged to the <br />landowner and assessed as provided in Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.271 18.83. <br /> <br />Costs incurred by the city in destroying all other weeds shall be charged to the landowner <br />in the following manner. Notice in writing of the work done and the costs and expenses involved <br />shall be mailed to the owner of the property. The notice shall indicate that ifthe total amount is <br />not paid to the city within thirty (30) days, such costs and expenses may be assessed against the <br />property as provided by Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.101. In the event payment is not <br />i received by the city as required by the notice, costs and expenses, together with a penalty of eight <br />(8) per cent, may be assessed against the property benefited in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes, Section 429.101.
