An operator must provide single-service towels or wipes for each <br />customer or person and such towels or wipes must be stored and disposed of <br />in a manner acceptable to the health authority. <br /> <br />8. Garments of Ol'erator. An operator must wear clean, washable garments <br />when engaged in the practice of tattooing, body piercing, body branding or <br />body painting. If garments are contaminated with blood or body fluids, the <br />garment must be removed, changed and discarded or sterilized by an <br />approved method. <br /> <br />9. Pilmlents. Pigments used in tattooing must be sterile and free from bacteria <br />and noxious agents and substances including mercury. The pigments used <br />from stock solutions for each customer must be placed in a single-service <br />receptacle, and such receptacle and remaining solution must be discarded <br />after use on each customer in accordance with procedures approved by the <br />health authority. <br /> <br />10. Code Comoliance. The facility must meet all relevant building codes and <br />federal law related to access. <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Influence of Alcohol and Drugs. It is unlawful to practice tattooing, body <br />piercing, body branding or body painting while under the influence of <br />alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs. A customer may not be tattooed, pierced, <br />branded or painted while under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illicit <br />drugs. <br /> <br />12. Written Instructions. The operator must provide the person tattooed, pierced <br />or branded with printed instructions on the approved care of the skin during <br />the healing process. <br /> <br />13. Livinl! Quarters. A place licensed as a tattoo, body piercing, body branding <br />or body painting establishment may not be used or occupied as living or <br />sleeping quarters <br /> <br />14. Heoatitis. A person to be tattooed, branded or pierced must be asked <br />whether the person has had viral hepatitis in the preceding six months. A <br />person suspected of presently having viral hepatitis or having had viral <br />hepatitis within the preceding six months may not be tattooed, branded or <br />pierced unless the person has the written consent of a licensed physician. <br /> <br />Sec. 15-511 <br /> <br />Sanctions for License Violations. <br /> <br />1. The City Council may revoke the license or suspend the license for a violation of: <br /> <br />a. A provision of this section or any other local law governing the same <br />activity during the license period; <br /> <br />b. Violation of any criminal law during the license period which <br />adversely affects the ability of the licensee to honestly, safety, or <br />lawfully conduct a tattooing, body piercing, body branding or body <br />painting business; <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Council may revoke the license or suspend the license ifthe <br />licensee submitted false information or omitted material information in the <br />licensing process. <br /> <br />r; <br />, 1 <br />!
