<br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND REZONING CERTAIN
<br />PROPERTIES WITHIN GROUP II OF THE COMPREHENSIVE REZONINGS FROM
<br />1-2, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL TO 1-3, LIMITED INDUSTRIAL.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Metropolitan Land Planning
<br />Act and Section 8-330 of the New Brighton Zoning Code the City
<br />Council has initiated the rezonin~ of those properties legally
<br />described in Ordinance No. 502; and

<br />
<br />That the City Council approved a Comprehensive Park
<br />Plan and a bond referend~m for park acquisition was
<br />also approved in 1967 fo~ the purchase of the park
<br />property north and west of the subject properties.
<br />That the City Council ad~pted an INTERIM ORDINANCE
<br />REGULATING THE USE OF CE~TAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY
<br />OF NEW BRIGHTON on May 24, 1977 which included the
<br />properties in question and which was pursuant to the
<br />City's Comprehensive Plaflning activities as provided
<br />for by M.S.A. 462.351 and M.S.A. 462.355 subd. 4;
<br />That the City Council adppted an INTERIM ORDINANCE
<br />REGULATING THE USE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY
<br />OF NEW BRIGHTON on May 23, 1978 (Ordinance No. 418);
<br />on May 22, 1979 (Ordinance No. 453) and on June 10,1980
<br />(Ordinance No. 473);
<br />That the City Council adopted the New Brighton Compre-
<br />hensive Plan on January 27, 1981;
<br />That the City Council adopted Ordinance #482 amending
<br />the New Brighton Zoning Code on August 20, 1981;
<br />That the City Council initiated on October 27, 1981
<br />the rezoning~ of theproper;ti.es within Group II;

<br />and mailed notice held a;' public hearing on November 17,

<br />and deferred action on the proposed rezoning on
<br />November 17, 1981,;"

<br />That the Planning Commission, pursuant to published
<br />and mailed notice, held a public hearing on the rezon~
<br />ing of the subject prope~ty on Marc~ 16, 1982, May 4,
<br />1982, May 18, 1982, July 20, 1982, October 19, 1982
<br />and November 16, 1982, all persons present at the meet-
