SECTION 9.75 False Alarms} Interference} Parking Penalty. It shall be unlaulf-ul for an~ person to give or make a malicious fire alarm} or give or make or cause to be made or given} in a reckless or negligent manner) or with out probable cause) or to neglect or refuse to obey any reasonable or lawful order of the Chief or other officer of sa i d De p art men t ) or to un 'r e as 0 nab I y ) n e 9 I i 9 en t 1 y} will full y or unlawfully interfere with the Members of said Department in the discharge of their duties} while they are engaged in combating any fire or while on other active duty or appearing in public; no person shall drive any vehicle over a fire hose or upon any other apparatus} except upon specific direction from the Chief or other officer} and then only with due caution; no person shall park any vehicle or place any material or obstruction within twenty (20) feet of the entrance to any fire station or other place where fire trucks or vehicles are kept or housed) or park or leave any vehicle within ten (10) feet of any fire hYdrant, or park within three hundred (300) feet of any fire while said Department is engaged in fighting same~ no person shall use any property of said Department for any private purpose) nor willfully or intentionally without proper authority take} remove or conceal any tool, appliance, accessory, apparatus or other property used by or belonging to said Department, and any person, firm or corporation which shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. I. SECTION 9.76 Relief Association. The Members of said Department may organize a Firefighters Relief Association as provided by law. SECTION 9.77 Buildings May be Razed. The Chief is authorized and empowered to summarily order the razing and destruction of any building Or other structure in such manner as he deems best) if in His Judgement such action is necessary to arrest the progress of any fire or prevent same from spreading. SECTION 9.78 These articles may be amended or repealed in whole or in part thereof by the majority vote of the membership of the department present at any regular meeting. Amendments are subject to approval by the City Counc i I. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication according to law.
