One temcorary unlighted identification <br />sign may be installed upon a construction <br />site in any district denoting the name of <br />the owner, architect, engineer and <br />contractor, provided that such signs do <br />not exceed district area requirements for <br />qt'olJnd signs. <br /> <br />11. Gasoline service stations are permitted a <br />doublefaced full price sign(s) not <br />exceeding sixteen (16) square feet each <br />for each type of fuel sold on the site. <br />No more than one price sign for one <br />type of fuel is allowed per street side. <br /> <br />l~. S~asonal holiday decorations are per- <br />mitted sa long as they contain no <br />advertising. They must be removed within <br />ten (10) days following the holiday. <br /> <br />13. Signs denoting the location of a utility <br />for purposes of warning or maintenance <br />and a sign denoting the location of a <br />publ ic ph(:'~le. <br /> <br />14. Small signs used for protection of <br />pt"()pet'ty sl.lch as "No Tt'espassing" or <br />"I"~eep Off Th(~ Gt'ass" pt'oviding such sigrl <br />is YIO lat'get' thal"l Ol"le al"Id one-half square <br />feet. <br /> <br />15, Canooy signs are permitted so long as <br />they contain the name or lopo of the <br />est~blishment only. <br /> <br />The following signs are subject only to Section <br />9-040 (e) and do require permits: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Signs advertising a seasonal busine$s, <br />providing such sign is not attached to <br />a building and that such sign is dis- <br />played for a period not to exceed (30) <br />days. One such sign may be disolayed <br />in addition to any existing signs on <br />the property. A seasonal business sign <br />may be displayed on an individual <br />property not more often than once per <br />year". <br /> <br />The following safety standards shall be adhered <br />to for all signage. <br /> <br />1.. <br /> <br />Signs shall be deSigned and constructed <br />to meet the standards of the Minnesota <br />B~ilding Code. All signs shall be <br />constructed in such a manner and of <br />such material that they shall be safe and <br />substantial, provided that nothing in <br />this ordinance shall be interpreted as <br />authorizing the erection or construction <br />of any signs not now permissible under <br />the zoning or building or electical code <br />of the City. Signs which become unsafe <br />shall be ordered repaired or removed by <br />the Building Official. <br />
