<br />II <br /> <br />]i <br /> <br />., <br />i!' <br /> <br />./ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />535 <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />'~ <br /> <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />. <br />...... <br /> <br />An Ordinance amending Section 29-1, Section 29-20, Section 29-21, <br />Section 29-26, Section 29-30, Section 29-31, and Section 29-32 <br />" of the New Brighton City Code and adding Sections 29-7 and 29-33. <br /> <br />The New Brighton City Council does ordain: <br /> <br />j: <br />Section I. <br /> <br />That Section 29-1, Regulations adopted, is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The provisions of Minnesota Statutes, <br />regulating traffic, including but not <br />limited to Chapters 168, 169 and 171, <br />including all amendments thereof, are <br />hereby adopted as a traffic ordinance <br />regulating the use of highways, streets <br />and alleys, semi-public property, and <br />certain private property within the City, <br />and are hereby incorporated in and made a <br />part of this chapter as completely as if <br />set out here in full. <br /> <br />Semi-public property is defined for the <br />purposes of this section as shopping center <br />parking lots, mobile home parks, and apart- <br />ment complex lots. <br /> <br />Section II. <br /> <br />That the Code is hereby amended by adding <br />a section to be numbered 29-7, which reads <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Private Parking Lots and Semi-Public <br />Property. <br /> <br />(a) The police department of the City may <br />post signs at any entrances to such <br />lots from public streets to designate <br />one-way traffic for entrance or exit, <br />and drivers of vehicles entering or <br />leaving such lots shall comply with <br />said signs. <br /> <br />(b) No person shall operate a motor vehicle <br />on such a lot at a speed greater than <br />is safe and reasonable under existing <br />conditions and in no event at a speed <br />greater than 15 miles per hour. <br /> <br />(c) No motor vehicle shall be parked or <br />allowed to stand in such a lot except <br />in a stall or position which is desig- <br />nated by either a sign or by markings <br />on the surface of the parking area. <br />In strip shopping centers there shall be <br />one parking space reserved for emergency <br />vehicles and so signed and/or marked. <br />For purposes of this section, strip <br />shopping centers are defined as shopping <br />centers where two or more businesses <br />share parking spaces and there is no <br />lane for moving traffic between the <br />businesses and the parking area. <br /> <br />.i <br />,: <br />
