<br />!'--.... <br /> <br />,* <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 548 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE <br />NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODE: ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br />THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE AND RELATED <br />CODES AND MATERIALS: AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR <br />ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT. <br /> <br />The City Council of New Brighton does ordain: <br /> <br />1. Section 7-1 of the New Brighton City Code entitled "Building <br />code - Adopted" is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 7-1. Building code - Adopted. <br /> <br />The Minnesota state building code, one copy of which is on <br />file in the office of the city clerk has been adopted by Minneso- <br />ta Statutes, Sections 16B.59 through 16B.73, as a uniform build- <br />ing code applicable throughout the state. The 1985 edition of <br />the state building code, as amended,' is hereby adopted by refer- <br />ence as the building code of the city and incorporated in this <br />chapter as completely as if set out in full. The 1985 edition of <br />the state building code adopts by reference certain codes, <br />appendices, standards and supplemental materials. The following <br />codes, appendices, standards and supplemental materials are <br />adopted by reference and incorporated into this code as if fully <br />set out at this point: <br /> <br />(a) 1985 edition of the Uniform Building Code, identified <br />as "UBC", Minnesota Rules, Chapters 1300 and 1305; <br /> <br />(b) Minnesota State Building Code, Abbreviations and <br />Addresses of Technical Organizations, Minnesota Rules 1300.2000; <br /> <br />(c) 1984 edition of the National Electric Code, identified <br />as "NEC", Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1315; <br /> <br />(d) 1981 American National Standard Safety Code for Eleva- <br />tors, Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks, identified as <br />ANSI AI7.1-1981 and Supplement, ANSI AI7.1a-1982, Minnesota <br />Rules, Chapter 1320; <br /> <br />(e) Standards of Performance for Solar Energy Systems and <br />Subsystems Applied to Energy Needs of Buildings, 1977 Edition, <br />identified as Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1325; <br /> <br />(f) Minnesota State Building Code, Technical Requirements <br />for Fallout Shelters, Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1330; <br /> <br />(g) Facilities <br />Chapter 1340; and <br /> <br />for the Handicapped, Minnesota Rules, <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />. , <br />
