Section 30-6 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 30-6 Service Connection Charge: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />There shall be a connection charge for each connection <br />to a City water main. The connection charge shall be <br />determined by the size of the water meter installed to ~, <br />meter such connection and shall be set by council~' <br />resolution.J <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />b. For new construction requiring a connection the charge <br />shall be due and payable when the building permit is <br />issued. <br /> <br />il <br />;i <br />ij <br />Ii <br />d <br />Ii <br />!I <br />fA <br />n <br />JI <br />'i <br />H <br /> <br />c. For existing connections with meter and outside reader <br />the meter payment or deposit shall accrue to the City in <br />lieu of the connection charge. <br /> <br />d. For existing connections with meter only, an additional <br />charge shall be made at the time the City replaces the <br />meter and installs an outside reader. Such additional <br />charge shall be set by Council resolution and shall be <br />included with the utility bill immediately following <br />reader installation. <br /> <br />e. Water connection charges may be refunded for buildings <br />that are razed provided that the meter is returned in <br />working order. <br /> <br />I Section ll. Section 30-41 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />!hereby ammended to read as follows: <br />j <br />I Section 30-4l Ownership <br /> <br />Water meters shall be provided by the City and ownership <br />shall be retained by the City. <br /> <br />: Section 2. Section 30-46 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />: hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />: Section 30-46. Damaged Meters; Repair. <br /> <br />No person shall knowingly use, or permit to be used, a <br />damaged water meter in the City to meter municipal water. <br />No person shall knowingly or negligently damage or permit <br />damage to a water meter connection to meter municipal water. <br />Any person damaging such a meter shall cause the same to be <br />disconnected until properly repaired. Any person knowingly <br />using a damaged or defective meter to meter water from the <br />municipal water supply shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. All <br />water meters used to meter municipal water which require <br />repair, shall be repaired by the City and the owner of the <br />
