Section 30-60 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 30-60. Rates. <br /> <br />a. Charges for water consumption within the City limits <br />shall be made by the City to the user on a quarterly <br />basis, such charges shall be determined by Council <br />resolution. <br /> <br />b. Users residing outside the City limits shall be charged <br />one and one-half (l~) times the rates charged within <br />the City limits. <br /> <br />section 4. Section 30-61 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br />section 5. Section 30-62 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />,hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Section 30-62. Service Charges. <br /> <br />Service charges shall be determined by Council resolution. <br /> <br />section 6. Section 30-63 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 30-63. Delinquent Water Accounts. <br /> <br />Each charge levied by and pursuant to this article is hereby <br />made a lien upon the corresponding lot, land, or premises <br />served by a connection to the water system of the City. <br />All such charges which are on the first day of September <br />of each year, more than ninety (90) days past due, and having <br />been properly billed to the occupant ~the premises served, <br />shall be certified by the City Clerk to the County Auditor <br />between the first and tenth day of October of each year. <br />The City Clerk in so certifying such charges to the County , <br />Auditor shall specify the amount thereof including an interes~ <br />charge of twelve (l2) percent, the description of the <br />premises served and the amount so certified shall be extended <br />by the auditor on the tax rolls against such premises in the <br />same manner as other taxes, collected by the County Treasurer, <br />and paid to the City Treasurer, along with other taxes. <br /> <br />section 7. Section 30-64 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 30-64. Termination of Services. <br /> <br />The superintendent is authorized to shut off water service <br />at the stop box connection at any time he shall be <br />satisfied that: <br /> <br />a. The owner or occupant of the premises served or any <br />person working on any pipes or equipment thereof which <br />are connected with the city water supply system has <br />intentionally violated any of the provision of this <br />chapter. <br /> <br />b. Fraud or misrepresentation by the owner or occupant in <br />connection with an application for service. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
