The Department will <br />drill on the first, second, and fourth Monday of each month startin <br />at 7:00 p.m. The first drill of each month is mandatory. A day <br />drill will be scheduled by the Chief for all men who missed the <br />!mandatory drill. A regular meeting will be held on the third <br />~onday of each month. If a meeting or drill falls on a holiday, <br />ildate may be changed at the discretion of the Chief. The annual <br />!meeting will be the third Monday in January of each year. The <br />!city fire station will be the site of all meetings and drills, <br />lfnless designated otherwise by the Chief. <br /> <br />II SEC~ION 220:55. Attendance at Meetinqs and Fire Calls <br />d <br />l ~ <br />l~i. Subd. 1. Attendance at Meetinqs and Dril1s. All Department <br />embers shall attend at least six (6) drills and/or meetings <br />er quarter. If any member fails to make six (6) drills and/or <br />eetings in one (1) quarter such member must attend sufficient <br />!~rills and/or meetings in the following quarter to total twelve <br />11(12) dril1s and/or meetings over the two (2) quarter period. <br /> <br />II Subd.. 2. Fire and~~Emergency Calls. A member shall respond <br />loa minimum of thirty (30) percent of all fire and emergency <br />alls received during such memberls duty period. The thirty (30) <br />I ercent requirement shall be exclusive of leaves of absences, <br />I ickness, disability, vacation or other excused absences. Any <br />i ember failing to meet the thirty (30) percent requirement shall <br />I e required in the following quarter to bring the two (2) quarter <br />I verage to thirty (30) percent. <br /> <br />SECTION 220:60. Expulsion, Penalties, Resiqnations. A member <br />s subject to demotion, suspension or expulsion for violation of <br />he provisions of this ordinance. The Department shall provide <br />statement of charges and recommendations of discipline to the <br />~nagerwhQn disciplinary ~tian!appears necessary. The Manager <br />ay discipline an~ member of the Department by means of suspension <br />r demotion or may dismiss a member from the Department with 0; <br />ithout the recommendation of the Department. <br /> <br />"!tI"l':.: <br /> <br />,0 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 220:65. Compensation.. All members of the Department <br />hall be paid an amount established by resolution of the City <br />ouncil. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 220:70. Retirement. All members must retire from <br />ctive service at age sixty (60). Upon recommendation of the <br />epartmen t and approval of. the Manager, retirement may be extended <br />n a year-to-year basis, but not beyond age sixty-five (65).
