<br />,I, <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Bathtub or Shower. Every dwelling unit shall <br />ontain a room which affords privacy to a person in said room and <br />hich is equipped with a bathtub or shower. <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Kitchen Sink. Every dwelling unit shall contain a <br />itchen sink apart from the lavatory requirement in Section 495:16, <br />ubd . 2. <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Connected to Water and Sewer System. Every kitchen <br />sink, lavatory basin, bathtub, or shower and water closet required <br />nder the provisions of this section shall be properly connected to <br />ither a public water and sewer system or to an approved private <br />ater and sewer system and shall be supplied with hot and cold <br />unning water. <br /> <br />subd. 6. Water Heating Facilities. Every dwelling unit shall <br />ave supplied water heating facilities which are installed in an <br />pproved manner, properly maintained, and are properly connected <br />ith hot water lines and which are capable of heating and deliverin <br />ater to such a temperature as to permit an adequate amount of <br />ater to be drawn at every required kitchen sink, lavatory basin, <br />athtub, shower, and laundry facilities or other silnilar units at a <br />emperature of not less than 130 degrees Fahrenheit at any time <br />eeded. <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Heating Facilities. Every dwelling and multiple <br />welling shall have heating facilities and the owner of said <br />eating facilities shall be required to see that said heating <br />facilities are properly installed, safely maintained and in good <br />orking condition, and that said facilities be capable of safely <br />nd adequately heating all habitable rooms, bathrooms and toilet <br />ooms located therein, to a temperature o~ at least 80 degrees <br />ahrenheit with an outside temperature of -20 degrees Fahrenheit. <br />he heating facilities shall be capable of maintaining a minimum <br />oom temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit at three (3) feet above <br />he floor in all habitable rooms including bathrooms and toilets <br />t all times when rented. <br /> <br />Subd. 8. Operation of Heating Facility and Incinerator. <br />very heating or water heating facility must be installed and must <br />perate in accordance with the requirements of the Build~ng Code. <br /> <br />Section 495:18 Installation and Maintenance. No person shall <br />ccupy as owner-occupant or let to another for occupancy and <br />welling, multiple dwelling, dwelling unit, rooming house or room in <br />nit for the purpose of living, sleeping, cooking or eating thereinl <br />hich does not comply with the following requirements: <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Plumbing Fixtures. Every water line, plumbing <br />fixture and drain shall be properly installed, connected and <br />aintained in working order, and must be kept free from obstruction, <br />leaks and defects and capable .of performing the function for which <br />it was designed.
