A.ll garbage <br />nd rubbish shall be disposed of in a sanitary manner as approved <br />y the Health Authority and shall not constitute a nuisance. No <br />erson shall accumulate or permit to accumulate any garbage or <br />ubbish on any property in the village which might constitute a <br />,ire. hazard or a nuisance by reason of appearance, odor, sanitation <br />ossible littering of neighboring properties, or littering of the <br />roperty on which the garbage or rubbish is accumulated. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Littering~rohibited. <br /> <br /> <br />No person shall throw, scatter or deposit, nor cause to <br />ermit to be thrown, scattered or deposited any garbage or rubbish, <br />aridbills, or other littering materials upon or in any public place <br />r private lands, bodies of water, vehicles or structures within <br />he municipality. Every person shall maintain his premises and <br />butting sidewalk and boulevard areas free of garbage, rubbish or <br />itter. <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 3.~containers Required. <br /> <br /> <br />All premises shall be provided with, at owner expense,an <br />dequate number of approved containers to hold the garQage <br />ccumulated by such premise until such garbage is removed from the <br />remises. Such containers shall be made of metal or other suitable <br />aterial, shall be water tight, insect and rodent proof, and shall <br />e of a material not easily corrodible and equipped with suitable <br />andlesand tight-fitting covers and shall be kept tightly covered <br />hen there is garbage stored therein. Rubbish may be stored in <br />lastic bags Qr other disposable containers and shall be stored in <br />lich a manner as to exclude litterJ.ng of the rUbbish therein. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. ,.Approved containers <br /> <br /> <br />Except as noted, all garbage containers shall be ofa kind <br />uitablefor collection purposes and shall not exceed 32 gallon <br />apacity.
