Appropriate facilities at public pools shall be provided <br />for the safety of bathers as may be required by the <br />Building Inspector and/or the Health Authority. This sha~l <br />include lifesaving equipment, safety devices, lifebuoys, , <br />lifehooks, f~?=,st-aid kits, telephone, with adequate staff' <br />during swimming periods who are competent in lifesaving <br />and artificial resuscitation. Competent lifeguards shall <br />be on duty during all swimming periods when so ordered <br />by the Health Officer or when a use fee is charged. <br /> <br />C. Every public swimming pool shall be under the supervision: <br />of a capable individual who shall assume the responsibility <br />for compliance with all parts of this ordinance relating : <br />to pool operation and maintenance, and safety of bathers., <br /> <br />D. Diving board height above the pool water level shall be in <br />accordance with the approval of both the Building Inspectpr <br />and the Health Authority. <br /> <br />E. Not more than the maximum design bather load shall be <br />permitted in the swimming' pool at anyone time. <br /> <br />F. When the swimming pool is not open for use, access to the; <br />pool shall be prevented. I <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Inspection. <br /> <br />A. The Health Authority is authorized to conduct such <br />inspections as it deems necessary to insure compliance <br />with all provisions of this ordinance and shall have right <br />of entry at any reasonable hour to the swimming pool for <br />this purpose. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. Operation <br /> <br />I <br />A. The operator of a public swimming pool shall keep a daily; <br />: <br />record of information regarding operation including <br />disinfectant residuals, pH, maintenance procedures, .- <br />recirculation, together with other data as may be requireq1 <br />on forms furnished by the Health Authority. These data <br />shall be kept on fi le by the operator for :six months for <br />review by the Health Authority or submitted periodically <br />to the Health Authority as may be required. <br /> <br />B. The pumps, filter, disinfectant and chemical feeders, and <br />related appurtenances shall be kept in operation at all <br />times the swimming pool is in use and for such additional: <br />periods as needed to keep the pool water clear and of ; <br />satisfactory bacterial quality. Continuous operation of i <br />the recirculation system shall be maintained in swimming: <br />pools having a capacity of 200,000 gallons or more during I <br />seasons of regular use. <br /> <br />i]~-'-- <br />
