NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />JANUARY 4, 1989 <br />T. The meeting was called to order by chairman Johnson at 7:30pm, <br />II. Members Present: Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, Kalina, Oce1, <br />Olson, Van Hatten, Council Representative Brandt. Also present were <br />~3renda Taylor and Becky Fillman Absent: None <br />III. Minutes of December 7, 1988 <br />MOTION BY EICHERS, SECONDED BY VAN HATTEN, TO APPROVED THE DECEMBER <br />7, 1988 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV, Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Brandt said there wasn't anything to report it was a short <br />meeting, <br />Johnson asked who-the. new Council Representative will be. <br />Brandt.-said they will be appointed at the next council meeting, <br />Brandt said the search firm has been hired and all council <br />members have been interviewed. .This firm is also searching for <br />a city. manager fo-r Roseville. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />No meeting. Anderson said he spoke to Greg Mack and he thought <br />it would be a good idea to get the group back. together again - <br />perhaps January or February. <br />V. New Business <br />A. "Innsbruck" Park Presentation <br />Anderson introduced two U of M students, Becky Fillman and <br />Brenda Taylor, in the Parks and Recreation field who chose <br />Innsbruck Park as their school project. Anderson invited them <br />to give a presentation of their work to the Park Board.. <br />Brenda stated when they developed this plan they first looked at <br />who the users would be. Since the area that will be surrounding <br />the park is not yet developed they spoke with Erny Mattila the <br />City Planner and Maurie. Also looked at the City's philosophy <br />from the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
