<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Wednesday September l5, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. <br />in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gregg Harcus, Counci1members Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Dave Kennedy, Assistant City Attorney <br />John Grau, Acting Director of Finance <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />.James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Russ Van Gompel, City Accountant <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to approve the <br />minutes of August 24, 1982 as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of <br />the Human Rights Commission minutes of August 2, 1982; the <br />Park Board minutes of September 1, 1982; and the Finance <br />policy Advisory Board minutes of September 7, 1982. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve the following: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated fund vouchers 69806-69847; 61710-61837 <br />2. Liquor fund vouchers l8688-18733; 15069-15106 <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />No one present at the public hearing spoke <br />In regard to the vacation of a portion of <br />9A Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Street Vacation <br />9A Avenue NW <br />Report No. 82-214 <br />7:35 - 7:37 <br />RESOLUTION #2629 <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist to <br />close the hearing. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />wai vethe reading and adopt a RESOLU'I'ION MAKING <br />FINDINGS OF PAC'!'
