<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to pas Led and published notice a special meeLing <br />of the New Brighton City Council was held in the municipal <br />building, 803 5th Avenue NW, on Tuesday, April 21, 1981 <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />,Jim Winkels, Director of Communi ty Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br />Vern Pederson, City Clerk <br /> <br />The Mayor stated the purpose of the meeting was to <br />consider a revised Zoning Code. He thanked staff, the <br />Planning COIMlission, and the Planning Commission Chairman <br />for their efforts. <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development described the <br />present Code and objectives proposed to be achieved <br />through the revisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Leverkuhn, Planning Commission Chairperson, <br />further stated the revisions were being proposed to <br />bring the Code into compliance with the newly adopted <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Boudreau, 660 23rd Avenue NW, presented an alternate <br />proposal to Section 4-600 of the proposed Zoning Code to <br />the Council. The Mayor with the consent of the Council <br />directed receipt and filing of the alternate proposal <br />Section 4-605 presented by Mr. Boudreau. <br /> <br />Mr. Warren Watson, 1889 29th Avenue NW, reviewed the <br />proposed Section 4-605. <br /> <br />Mr:. Wayne Leverkuhn, Planning Conunission Cha irperson, <br />questioned why the alternate proposal presented by <br />Mr. Boudreau did not address anything but ground mounted <br />towers. <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to refer to staff <br />('iD,l the Planning Commission the proposed Section 4-605 <br />
