<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />purusant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, May 27, 1980 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Dennis S. Zylla, City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Jim Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Lea Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Vernon Pederson, City Clerk <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Benke" seconded by Blomquist to approve <br />the minutes of April l7, 1980 and May l3, 1980 as <br />presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with the consent of the Council directed <br />receipt and filing of the minutes of: <br /> <br />Commission of Environmental Quality <br />Downtown Advisory Board <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Park Board <br /> <br />May 8, 1980 <br />May 15, 1980 <br />May 5, 1980 <br />May 7, 1980 <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br />Rev. Paul Olson, Pastor of Christ the King Lutheran <br />Church, presented a $100 donation to the City <br />stating that said donation was a token of their <br />appreciation for services rendered by the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Senden, in behalf of the Council and the City <br />of New Brighton, expressed appreciation for Christ <br />the King Lutheran Church's consideration. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve <br />the following items: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated fund vouchers 50648-50690; 56003-56l24 <br />2. Liquor fund vouchers l27l3-l2755 <br />
