Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Nichols-Matkaiti. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members Present: Chairperson Erin Nichols-Matkaiti, Commissioners Todd Biedenfeld, Jeanne <br />Frischman, Kelly Frush (arrived at 7:35 p.m.), Tim McQuillan, and Melissa Murphy <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Nasreen Fynewever <br />Also Present: Ben Gozola – Assistant Director of Community Assets & Development; and Council <br />Member Mary Burg <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Motion by Commissioner Frischman, seconded by Commissioner Murphy, to approve the August 21, <br />2018 agenda as presented. <br />Approved 5-0. <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br />Minutes from July 17, 2018 <br />Motion by Commissioner Frischman, seconded by Commissioner Murphy, to approve the July 17, <br />2018 meeting minutes as presented. <br />Approved 5-0. <br />V. Report from City Council Liaison <br />Councilmember Burg introduced Ben Gozola to the Commission and noted he had been hired as the <br />City’s new Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development. She thanked all of the residents <br />who participated in Stockyard Days to make this a wonderful community celebration. She reviewed <br />the City’s new logo and tagline. She reported she attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Ralph <br />Reeder Food Shelf in Mounds View. She stated NYFS would be holding their Taste of Northeast <br />fundraiser on Thursday, October 11th at Vadnais Commons from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. She
