<br />~ <br /> <br />t. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />,,,", <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.89-74 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 1989 WATER AND SEWER RATES <br /> <br />Whereas, the City operates Water and Sewer services; <br /> <br />Whereas, in establishing the customer fees it is also preferred <br />that these fees be reviewed periodically; <br /> <br />Whereas, the review for 1989 operations has been completed; <br /> <br />Whereas; the current rate method provides for a flat and <br />consumption fees; <br /> <br />Now, therefore be it resolved that: <br /> <br />1. The consumption portion of the water fee shall be S. 55 per <br />1,000 gallons. <br />2. The Settlement proceeds shall be used to supply $.12 per 1,000 <br />gallons towards the operating costs of the Water service. The <br />$.12 contribution shall be in addition to the fee required in <br />Section #1. <br />3. The flat portion of the water fee shall be calculated so as to <br />generate $160,100 in revenues. <br />4. The consumption portion of the sewer fee shall be $1.30 per <br />1,000 gallons based on winter quarter consumption. <br />5. The flat portion of the sewer fee shall be calculated so as to <br />generate $97,000 in revenues. <br />6. The flat portions shall be allocated to customers based on a <br />decile of classes. Each class will be required to pay its <br />proportionate share of the flat cost as that class relates to <br />total consumption, for that sevice. <br />7. The winter quarter shall be defined as the water used during: <br />District #1 November 1988 through January 1989 <br />District #2 December 1988 through February 1989 <br />District #3 January 1989 through March 1989 <br />8. The rates specified in this Resolution shall be put into place <br />for the first full quarter commencing after the conclusion of <br />the 1989 winter quarter. <br />9. A single decile shall be used for the flat portion of the water <br />and another single decile for sewer services. <br />10. A missing read charge of $15. shall be made when a customer <br />fails to submit consumption data as requested. <br />11. If a customer is not using the City's water service then the <br />sewer fees shall be set at the average for similar occupant <br />types. <br />
