<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, November 9, 1999, <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Moore-Sykes, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Eugene Delaune, Councilmember of the Month <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Ann Hoffman, future Councilmember <br /> <br />Benke announced that newly elected Councilmember Kim Moore.Sykes took the oath of <br />office on November 3, and will complete the remaining two years of a four-year term <br />vacated by Ann Hoffman. Councilmember Hoffman was elected to a four-year term and <br />will take office January 1,2000. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Staff has requested removal of Report 99-251, Redevelopment Agreement with Brighton <br />East Office Center, from the Council agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE AMENDED COUNCIL <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE OCTOBER 26, 1999, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes ofthe Public Safety Commission <br />- September 29, 1999. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Mayor Benke PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 14-20, 1999, AS <br />AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1.
