<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, November 23, <br />1993, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Council members Gunderman, Larson, Rebelein and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Barbara J eanetta, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Barbara J eanetta, Assistant to the City Manager, requested that the Adult Use <br />Ordinance, Repon 93-320, be continued to a future Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams. seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE TIlE NOVEMBER 9, 1993, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Economic <br />Development Commission - October 5, 1993; Environmental Quality Commission- <br />September 8, 1993; Citizen Study Commission - October 27, 1993; and Cable <br />Advisory Committee - October 28, 1993. <br /> <br />Gunderman asked if legal counsel reviewed the accuracy of the Environmental <br />Quality Commission (EQC) meeting minutes of July 14, August 11, and September <br />8, 1993. City Attorney LeFevere explained that previous actions taken by the EQC <br />when a quorum was not present, are not of legal consequence. He gave an outline to <br />the EQC members to guide them when future actions need to be resolved. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Benke introduced the 1993.1994 New Brighton Stockyard Days Royal Family: <br />Queen Andrea Tooley, Princess Kristy Larson, Junior Queen Kelly Culhane, Junior <br />Commodore Andrew Butler, Junior Princess Shawn Marg-Patton, and Junior Vice <br />Commodore Cody Baldwin. <br /> <br />Benke presented a plaque of appreciation to Police Officer Ellerd "Pete" Rosin for <br />his 25 years of excellent service to the City of New Brighton.
